he's JOE . . . JOE_CAM

"this is my friend Joe_Cam."

A very short, very quickly concieved documentary about the life of Joe_Cam, who was moving away to Arkansas for ...ever. His friends, his job, the borough of Nescopeck, all converge to make the man. How can he bear to leave it all behind?

Please view this video! If you know Joe or not, I'd like to get your opinion of this doc (comment below!).

Once you've seen it, check out the Addendum video. Somebody last weekend said that I should post the unused materials, so there ya go.

hallo!

jewerly?

Just got back from the CAYSA annual "CorrectionCon", hosted in a really nice looking (but falling apart) spa/resort in the Middle of Nowhere, NY. Two nights ago I tried to drive 1/2 an hour in two directions to find a place...any place that sold markers...and there wasn't anything. I lucked out around hour 2 and ran into a Save-A-Lot, but geez!

Why a luxurious, statue-ridden resort in the middle of nowhere? I've heard that Jewish families would often spend summers/weekends 'upstate', which may explain why there was a Jew-rly store in the middle of the hotel. OH I MAKE THE PUN!

Seriously, now. Stereotypes aside, I've never seen a jewerly store inside a hotel, and I've been to many ritzy places all over the US. Weird!

skeleton closets

Z got back from Norway, brought some troll coasters. Did I post about that already? (I am not checking) She also nabbed a WHOLE CASE of Firklover! It's the greatest chocolate/hazelhut bar on the planet. Haaaa.......Norway is the best. Trolls, chocolate...not a better formula exists.

This weekend we'll be attending the Hamptons Film Festival, which sounds rich and pretentious, but that's just the tourists that shop there. Ticket prices are pretty cheap for most everything, but I'm still stuck having to decide on not alot of info. Has anybody heard of these films?

Any recommendations?

FLAME OF UDUN!

Driving home seemed like no time at all, thanks to being completely burned out w/not alot of sleep the past weekend, Rich's 2 CD set of the 60s War of the Worlds: The Musical, and a bazillion memories of the last few days. What memories, you ask? Quiz Time!!!

Q:
Well, on Friday I drove about (A) hours to the West Syyiiide of NY to chill with some college peeps and the X-Strike crew, who like me, spent the last two nights on Rich's (B). A BJ's run on Friday got me tipsy on (C); a brief yet glorious (D) at LaserTron became an all-day event, and I still managed to clobber (E) with a pillow. Then there was the wacky adventures of (F) on DVD, at EB for $4. Last, earlier today I ate 1/2 of two gigantic (G) that were bigger than the plates they were served on - and I still haven't eaten since!

The details:

a. 6 hours.
b. floor
c. 1 pint of Killians got me tipsy.
d. 271 Base Hits in 1 game were scored against The Opposition thanks to the SUPER TEAM of Rich, Liam and me (and the neat lil nook that Rich discovered.)
e. RAGE
f. "You sure do know your Bible." .. "That's why they call me BIBLE MAN."
g. Sugar Shack Pancakes. Everyone giggled when I ordered 2...I thought my experience eating a giant omlette would help, but it was for naught...>>>

you are mightier than even The Boss.

SNAKE EATER... what a great game. Ahhhhhhhh.

Let's see...going across the state this weekend for a read-through of Juese's revamped SideQuest script. There will be LAZ0RTAG! There will be killins. I'm trying to decide what my codename will be, but I don't really have a favorite MGS3 boss yet. I guess BIG BOSS will suffice, or RAAAYR!

Chad W Superior, Destructicons Inferior

My parents are great. They drove up to Albany (5 hours!) to wish me a happy birthday. We ate some Bison steak at the local MEAT RESTAURANT NAMED AFTER A STATE place, I whooped my Dad's butt at Skill Crane 3-zip, came back to the apt and they unleashed a brand-spanking-new office chair on me! Woohoo birthdays!!!

They also gave me a card which made me cry. I love my parents. There was a point where I doubted and wondered if I could possibly live up to being as awesome as my Dad, but now I know that I will. I will carry on the uber-sweetness to the next generation, Dad. The Matrix of Leadership is in capable hands.

I'm glad to make my parents proud. Oh!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anybody out there has an idea for a symbol / icon for Awesome Squad, I'd desperately like to know your ideas!!!

We need to fill the black hole / get a logo on our official Suave Jackets!!

Thanks to everybody that reads this blog! You rock!!

I ranked 'SHARK'

Z just left for Norway. She still can't believe that she's going. Even now, as she zooms down 87 towards i-90, it probably still hasn't registered yet.

In case you didn't know, let me tell you about my amazing girlfriend. She's a puppeteer, a webmaster, a stage manager, and still manages to find time to hang out with lil' old me. Until December, Z is wrangling on a PBS puppet show, "It's a Big, Big World", which consists of fixing puppets for 12 hours a day, going to a dorm, calling me, and passing out. On weekends she's been driving up from the Hamptons on Long Island (where it's being shot) to Watervliet, which is a few cool marks shy of being "Albany 2". Wait, that's Troy.

A few weeks inbetween now and December, she gets to leave that job behind and tour with a puppet show that is traveling to Norway, France, California...you name it. What's even better is that she does her job really well. That's DEDICATION, holmes.

On top of it all she still does regular upkeep on several websites, which were commitments she got before landing the wrangling job. The problem is that she only has time on the weekends to do it, and last night she needed to code this really boring CGI script for 8 hours. We stayed up until 5 watching Disney's Robin Hood (best birthday present, hands down) on DVD, Extended Fellowship of the Rings, and me beating Metal Gear Solid 3. What a game...what a truly classic game.

She just left maybe 5 minutes ago, so I'm gonna give another 5 minutes of 'nostalgia time' before I start a New Game+ in MGS3. Shit yeah...

this is great.

first watch this. Then, if you thought it was cool, read on.

ok. You must've thought that was hella tight, am I right?
That rhymed! I am a rhyme master level 2!

Today ... is my birthday! I am a quarter of a century old. Think about it. Think about what the hell America was doing 25 years ago. How far along science had gone. We're still driving the same old cars, but think of computers and Maya and crap. Your mind is blown.

The girls at work (whom I affectionally coined as 'My Three Moms') took me out to Jillians for the afternoon! It was a blast. I wound up beating everyone at air hockey, and Kim and I stayed to mop the floor with House of the Dead 2 (now I've beaten all three! yeeeeyah!) and they forced me to drink a fruity martini. Even my supervisor came, which I thought would be awkward, but it turned out to just be weird for him - which made it even better for me! He spouted something about "my kids have that Playstation thing, it drives me insane.." before we went down to the videogame floor. I won't reveal any more about it, because, well, people have lost their jobs for blogging LESS.

la la la, unicorns LA!

i am walking away from the comp . .

Walking away from a rough scene is hard to do, especially when it's a key, pivotal, awesome scene that YOU KNOW will rock everybody's socks clear off. Or, at least you know that IT NEEDS TO for everyone to have a good taste in their mouths at the end of the movie.

Today I'll probably sit at work, bored, reading out of my new Film Art book that Z found for me at a book sale in South Hampton. Yesterday I had a real talk with Melissa and Judy about what my real feelings are about the job, and it was really kind of freeing. With my birthday fast approaching (they do birthdays in our office) I guess they wanted some info on how the Chadster was holding up this month.

The last year I've been so stiff, so professional that it was hard to be myself. I had my Dad to thank for that...somehow I got it into my head that I had to live up to his image because I got mixed up into the field he's a legend in. Over the last year I kind of became a legend, too, but when I'm gone the new guy will take over as Multimedia King. Hopefully the new guy will also just use the job to pay off college loans and also move on to pursue his dreams.
