prediction of pain

It's funny.

What I will say to secretaries at certain television stations in NYC came to me in a dream last night. While I was dreaming, my back was h-u-r-t-i-n-g! OOh man I can still feel it! pain pain pain pain all over! It comes from not working out all week (sick people don't exercise) and then sleeping on my side to compensate for Z sleeping on her side. Big mistake.

Last night she wasn't feeling so well (crap, it could be she's caught my flu!- I thought) so I turned on the bathroom light, put out the Ginger Ale and Tylenol, and turned in. After I tried to put her to sleep with the tale of the 5 Chinese Brothers (a classic), I passed out. A few hours later I had this crazy dream about Dante from Devil May Cry playing tennis. Yeah, tennis.

After winning a match, Dante went up against a little boy, except without a racket. Things were bad, until the boy stopped playing tennis, went to his Volkswagon, and got into these really big collectable toys from videogames past, like a big blue dragon from Tekken (?no idea), the big Iron Giant from FF8, and something else. Just when he began to feel sorry for nearly killing the kid, I woke up - in PAIN.

watch this now.

feelin a mite better

Apparently Ginger Ale cures stomach ails, and Tylenol cures a fever.

Man, things they never teach you in college..

blalrhrhh+_)!

i awoke at 1am last night to a series of vomitings. I was chilly, couldn't hold it down, and had a spat or two of drippy poo.

Every sleepless half hour, on the dot, I tossed my pizza from last night until there was no more. Around 8am what came out scared me, because there was literally nothing in my diet that was yellow, but there it was, yellow stuff in the bowl.

I called my doctor and they arranged for me to come in...at 4pm. Gahhhh. They also advised that I start drinking Ginger Ale. Up until this point, I had ran to Hannaford's really quick for some cough drops and some Pepto Bismol (note to self: Pepto Bismol doesn't work when you have the flu). I got the Ale, and oh, what a difference. It was at this moment (11am) that I stopped puking my guts out.

Hours have passed and I'm still drinking it. I am 10 times better and even managed a full hour of sleep! Soon the doctors will give me pills and I'll forget I was even sick. Maybe I'll keep the Ginger Ale around, though, just in case.

The X-Mas Story

It was a rainy day when we arrived in Western NY. I dropped off Z (for mind torture) and picked up Eric on my way on in. Even though the snow was melting, there was a ton of it; when I decided that chipping the giant icicles off of the roof was a good idea, I wound up breaking the deck. Who knew gravity was such a hussy?

Christmas was great..I really feel sad every time I leave. It's really like going over to a friends' house and then being shown the door just after a little bit. Z on the other hand gets a little bit of life energy sucked out of her via her parents. It's like that scene in the Dark Crystal where the evil Skeksis turn muppets into soulless, zombie slaves - with extra soul-sucking.

Just like that.

Where was I...ah yes, my family rocks. We awoke Christmas morning to a present tsunami - obviously Santa had been busy this year. Our favorite gifts were definitely matching Janitor uniforms with our names embroidered, and yet another arcade-like game to add to our collection in the basement. This one was particularly awesome AND fun! Getting together really brings out our competitive nature, so we played each other at pool, bubble hockey, the basketball thing, and even Skill Crane. btw: I can't believe Leah whupped us all 4-3-1-1!!!

I called MTV/Comedy Central/Viacom again and found that they funnel everyone through their website, no alternatives. On one hand, go them for using solely web, but it sucks to be a part of the teeming masses caught up in that web...OH THE PUN...

BEHOLD...THE JET BABY!

Behold the Bronchitus!

This weekend, minus the kick-in-the-pants revelation about moving on with my life, Z and I walked all over NYC. We saw the Christmas-themed windows at Macys, Saccs, Hallmark, um..some random stores...Disney...and escaped unscathed! There were long lines to wait in if you wanted to get up close to the windows, but after Macys we learned and browsed from a safe distance.

Z also surprised me with a totally awesome trip to Nintendo World! There were Gameboy DS's littered all over the first floor, a Pokemon corner, and upstairs, well, there was more 'store'. In fact, there was a lot of store, and very little Nintendo history, besides a Famicom and a charred Persian Gulf Gameboy. Got me a sweet Metroid Zero figure!

Saturday night was the premiere of Chuchi, the Little Boy Made of Carpet (paraphrased) at The Carriage House, a Henson-owned studio where they take pictures of the muppets. This short, made as a cautionary tale for Afganistanian children, was AMAZING and HILARIOUS. When the magical carpet lad wasn't learning about the real-life dangers of forgotten landmines and UXOs, he was being tricked by Djinn into hitting a bomb with a stick. After he lost a couple limbs and had his legs replaced by a ladle and a fork, he finally learned his lesson and became a real boy! Someday, you all will see this.

It was after apartment hunting on Sunday that we ate at an Italian diner in Harrison. Their spaghetti tasted like Spaghettios and made my insides go OH CRAP..OH CRAP EXPLOSION!

I've decided.

By the time my lease runs out in April, I'll have found a job in the NYC area that's film-related. And that is that.

Are you, the reader, sitting on some kind of awesome film/TV contact and wish to help out the Chadster? Send me a comment about it. I'll be cold-calling for the next few months until something sticks.

dream!

Last night I fell asleep waiting for Z to call - with winter clothes on, underneath two blankets with the heat turned up. When this inevitably woke me the hell up at 4AM, I remembered having a crazy dream. Somebody had quit/died at Big Big World and I took their job - and everybody was great to me. I got to see Z and work in a great atmosphere!

Well, I guess it's final. When career desires show up in your dreams, don't ignore 'em.

In other news, we killed Jesus and I totally forgot.

making links

Today was the NYSDOCS Christmas Party. Rather than going, I took off work early and wrapped some presents. That's MY kind of X-Mas Party. Yeeh, I used th' X. Bitch.

I worked on the idea/summary/screenplay/script today and yesterday...it has definitely come a long way. After reading and re-reading research elements, I think I've finally arrived at something. Of course, I've thought this once every week.

It's nearly time to get organized about cast and crew, so if you are a dedicated Chad Williams Fan and would like to participate in a low-budget-yet-awesome short movie, give me a buzz. If you're already good at what you do, I'll be calling YOU.

Hey, I just found out that Blogger has an awesome shortcut for making links! Hooray!

My brothers made fun of me over Thanksgiving for "becoming a vegetarian". Tonight for dinner I had a huge salad and boiled potatoes.

COINCEDENCE???!!!!

Last weekend I shot the Jet Baby sequence for Nth Mile, with the help of Script Girl Devon, Juaquime and Shael. We literally ripped Devon's room apart to get enough room between the green screen and the camera for an entire full-shot. It rocked, and the result? I'm about to capture it and find out.

Shael showed me the first track he'd written for the score and it was GREAT! Actually, I'm going to look and see if he's posted it on his webspace...nah, doesn't look like it.

Know that it will be awesome. You ARE coming to MAGfest for the premiere, right?

In conclusion, MAY 9th!!!!!!!!!!

My family has a new tradition.

Ever since the fall of 2004, we've been obsessed with Skill Cranes. Y'know, the claw machines where you pick up stuffed animals? We are their OVERLORDS. Not only do we individually rock hard tasty abs all over our own regional cranes, but together we're going to donate over 10 garbage bags full of stuffed animals to Toys4Tots this Christmas.

Yeeeah. Feels good. I have a whole 2 bags full and a few gems that are sitting around my apartment. What can I say, I love stuffed animals and I love competition. Whoever came up with the idea of the modern skill crane is a go-ram genius.
