After a crazy load of adventures this past weekend, you'd think I'd be on Cloud 9...whatever that used to mean. I've been feeling kind of emotionless and tired lately, which is better than depressed, but still not as awesome as 'living for the moment' or something. Anyway, before I bore you, internet readers, with Emo Tales starring Bitchy McWhineington, here's a recap of the last few days.
Saturday - Sun, Z and I drove our cars out to Western NY. Only one of them came back. Sadly, this video is the last you'll ever see of ole' reliable IronHide. Veronica, an old friend from HighSchool, had a need and could meet my price. We spent a few hours catching up (she has a dog now) and called it a day. The rest of the weekend consisted of visiting parents and feeding our nostalgia. And haircuts. Good times.
Hidden in her parents' house was an old BetaMax video (BlueRay IS the new BetaMax, btw) starring a 5 year-old Z and her Dad making a cake! This was 1/2 enlightening, and 1/2 cute as hell. The interesting parts revolved around us realizing that her Dad, who we had assumed picked up his negative personality from his horrible car accident, was exactly the same as he is now, all those years prior. The irresistably cute Z .. . well, I'll just let you see for yourself. Eventually she knocks over the flour-filled bowl by accident and runs off crying. Cooking, it seemed, was SERIOUS BUSINESS.
I had a couple days off to relax and catch up on the 'other' responsibilities I've picked up over the last weeks. Gotta build that website, man! Gotta edit them trailers, son! Before the end of the week I'll have accomplished some of what I set out to do but still feel a mite empty inside...maybe this amazingly comfortable life is starting to effect me in strange new ways...then again maybe I'm just not getting enough oxygen at night. We'll see.
btw . . . GO SABRES!!!!
IMAGE DUMP!
