media jobs: not all they're cracked up to be
Nth Mile progress: Lookin Pretty Good, Buddy!
Last friday I got a call from Brooke Shay, an ex-Media Arts (wait...she's more like a 'I Beat Media Arts') living in Albany right before she got canned. Her terribly boring/uneducational job at a TV station doing marketing was apparently expendable, so she got sacked (and right after she called ME, what a coinkidonk!)
Anyways, hearing her afterwards sound kinda panicky and freaked (could've been the traffic) made me think twice about bashing my own soul-sucking cubicle job, which I had also planned to ride until I was ready to get off, with gobs of blood-money in my hands. She has plans that need funding, and no more esteem-crushing money pot to dip into. That being said, TODAY WAS TEH BORINGEST DAY OF WORK EVAR!_)
No one should be made to sit at a computer for more than 5 hours a day. It's inhumane.
